I've been doing a bunch of decoders installs lately using Digitrax's DN163K0a decoder, and I noticed that almost all the ones in the latest batch have the right lead of the front headlight shorted to the adjacent resistor. Is this fine, or did digitrax mess up? They run fine on DC, but the headlight doesn't light in either direction. I'm hesitant to test them on DCC till I know something won't be shorted. I tried doing so, but it seemed to stick to the two solder points and I cant remove it from the small space between the two. I suppose I can try to pick up a solder wick tomorrow to try to get more of it off.
Well I decided to bite the bullet and test one decoder on DCC. Turns out they work just fine, so I guess this is either intentional or doesn't affect the decoder.
