It's one of those ecological engines. I believe it is a "3GS21B-DE".

It is a Savage Services SW. They lease such as switchers to short lines and industrial users. I wonder where this one was based, and where it was going?

If I get down to Tacoma this weekend, I'll look around. Maybe headed to the old CEECO shops for work, since it wasn't running?

As a foreign road switcher, it most likely would have been DIT. Might not even have any MU capabilities.

Hope they resolved the issue behind that stringline incident, a year or so back?

Yup, it's on my wish list! I bought one that is more of a company history of Tacoma Rail, with awesome pics in all color by mostly Steve Carter, a local professional in the railfan field here in the NW.

Is the old CEECo shop still active under current owner? Painted there?

That's what I'm thinking, they do more rail cars than locos these days, but some locos do roll thru for paint.

Does the 2100 run on diesel fuel, vegetable oil, and french fry oil, and maybe hash oil?

    Just kidding. Great photos, Kurt.
