T-Minus 13 Days and Counting Wonderful news! The 'Certificate of Occupancy' has been issued, the mover scheduled, and date set. < Bemused Grin > Guess what? No, really, take a guess, go ahead I dare you. Guess, I'm waiting. Hint: I need to change the title of this thread or start a new one.
Okay Steve, you have opened a conundrum. First, you haven't been a "One" for quite a while, what with Laura and her son joining your life. Second, Ken has provided an excellent option, assuming you have not joined the Chrome Dome set, of which I have been a member for at least 50 years. I'm at a loss for Third, though hopefully it doesn't include the G&G because your creation has provided us enjoyment for many years.
Well, it does involve the GandG but in a, (to me), positive way, (but don't tell my wife). Mods: Is it possible to change the title of a thread or do I need to start a new one?
I will name a scenic area / mountain / structure etc of your choice after you. Almost, sigh. The layout will be built in the master bedroom at the same height. Benefits (for me): It will be around the room for continuous running I gain 10 additional feet running space I gain a 'staging area' I gain a 2x4'x6' integrated area where I can incorporate the original GandG, (from high school). I gain a 'staging' area At the Family Level I don't have to negotiate 'train time' with the family I get major kudos, (and concessions to be decided on later), for making the 'sacrifice', (wink wink nudge). Just go along with me on that one, okay? Oh, and hope they don't read this. My guest won't have to sit and watch trains during dinner. Why is that a problem? Sheesh! Hmm, I wonder if I can use WiFi to transmit from the bedroom to the smart TV? Hmnm It frees up a little more space for the grandson's play area. Major bonus: People using the mud bench won't have to watch out for the train shelf. In any case, it is a better option all the way around. Yay for my team.
That sounds great. Looking forward to seeing the expanded G&G progress, with plans and photos of course.
The only real plans now are: 1' deep most of the way around 2' deep over my desk My eyeball level Fabric 'fascia - My wife, (Director of Operations / Land Grands / CFO etc)'will select fabric that will hang down along the front edge. Higher a carpenter to do the bench work as it is elevated and I really don't have the tools or space to cut wood. There is more but it is still percolating.
Yes. We can edit for you. In this instance, it might be worth thinking of starting a new topic. Your choice, let us know about an edit, if you decide.....
