Hello everyone, I currently model in N Scale and is captured by the Florida East Coast RR as I have the privilege to watch them pass through my area daily. I have been fascinated by trains for as long as I can remember and throughout the years, I've managed to amass a nice collection of engines, structures, and cars without doing anything with them. My wife surprised me with a gift of giving me a room in the house and the train itch has returned. Now, as I blow off the dust, I have come to realize that I need help. My last layout was analog (about 20 years ago)and now I want to use DCC. I welcome any tips or advice as I am completely lost. Thanks in advance and it feels so good to get back in action.
Welcome to TrainBoard! For DCC, be sure to check our forum dedicated to that feature. We have some talented people there who can help you.
Welcome aboard. As stated, there are quite a number of folks here with experience with DCC in many forms. Browse through some of the old threads and throw questions out, I'm sure you'll get a lot of info.
Welcome aboard, Gunny. We are pleased to have you with us. Good suggestions above. You might also check and see if there's a model RR club in your area for ideas and other ideas. Keep us informed of your progress. Photos are also nice to share!
Yes, there is a club here, but the weather hasn't been cooperating for me to attend the meetings. I will be sure to go when the weather permits.
I've been a member of two different clubs over the years and have found them invaluable for advice, resources and camaraderie
