    Jim, the first trip I took on the (Amtrak) Crescent was in mid-July 25-30 years ago. I happened to wake just after 0-Dark-30 as we were crossing the Dan River trestle. Bubba, there's a helluva long way from the top of that trestle down to the Dan River. Dam Sam, I wish they had served something a little stronger than coffee in the diner at 0630....talk about Pucker String Failure. :eek:
