    Hello

I have s88 and Roco/Lenz combartible bus and Speedbus in my dispatcher panel.
Panel PDF instruction tell me that, at the same time with receiving occupancy status (current supply method) these device can receive RailCom feedback about train numbers using these buses. But they cannot told about manufacturers and article numbers of these modules.

Please help who knows about it.

I think that it cannot be compartible with DigiTrax.

    Thanks

    Hi Vadim,
S88 and Speedbus are (like LocoNet and Xpressnet) not protocols on rails, so they are completly independend from DCC (ore Motorola or mfx ...).

If there is a NMRA compatible DCC-Signal on Rails, it is possible to cut the Railcom-Cut (448µs) in the Signal without any loss of Information at the right time. There are some Boosters who can cut the Railcom-Cut in such a DCC-signal at the right moment (about 38µs after the DCC-Packet-End-Bit).

In these 448µs, where is no Signal from the "Central" on the rails, the Decoder in the lok can send a short information to the rails and with a Railcomdetector, who is sniffing on the rail you can read this Information. In the easiest case the Decoder in the lok cries his DCC-Adresss to the Rails an the Detector tells you the Adress and your System an you knows which lok it is.
