I did not finish any cars this week, but I did get some stuff done. Installed a Duha Plate Steel load with the hold downs on a Bowser F30a 52' Flat. Another Duha load of nested steel pipes installed in a NKP Greenville Drop End Gondola by Proto 2000. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
Some buildings have been razed to make room for Hokum's House Of Burlesque. ..I've got to practice my routine !
Jim, that trestle shot is absolutely grandiose! Apart from your usual gift at making your models look magical, this one looks bigger than a model could be. Good work! Candy, I trust that the building and the entertainment inside will be spectacular, as usual. Is there a way to get a lifetime membership at Hokem's?
Mike, If I remember correctly the trestle is 90 feet high and 180 feet long give or take a couple. Here is another photo for you. By the way I built this trestle piece by piece. No templates! Jim
That's spectacular. Piece by piece, freehand? I am even more impressed. With that kind of patience and dexterity, you'd be great soldering tiny surface mount electronics.

That's the thing with devices that have built-in cameras, especially phones and tablets. I've had the same trouble with my tablet. It's all those sophisticated sensors that figure out how you're holding your device, and decide for you how you're holding it, regardless of the scene being photographed. I got a lot of upside-down and 90-degree-rotated photos with my tablet until I figured out that depending on the tilt, the tablet said "oh, you're holding me upside down/on my side" and it changed how it transferred the photo from the CCD to the memory. Even if the image is right side up on the CCD, the tablet decides on its own that it should be inverted before it's saved. I hate machines that decide for themselves what I want to do. I won't even go into what goes on when I argue with them.
