Hello from sunny Southern California. Glad to be a part of trainboard and look forward to learning many more tips of the hobby. I currently have an N scale layout in my garage but hope to expand to a full size basement or dedicated train room once I finally move out of California. Welcome Steve. We are glad to have you aboard and look forward to hearing about the progress with your layout.
Welcome aboard, Steve. Where in SoCal are you located? We lived there for 35 years and finally escaped to Oregon.
Thanks all for the welcome! I currently live in Murrieta but hope to get back to Texas in a few years after I retire from the military. Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, first, I'll add my welcome! Who are you with? Did my time in the Cav, closest I think I ever got to your area was scenic Ft Irwin. Browse and enjoy!
I'm in the Navy, at 24 years right now and have just a few more to go. Ft Irwin is a couple hours up the road from me, pass it on the way to Vegas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Welcome Steve! Thank you for your service! I was born in S CA! My parents escaped back to MN in 1972. My brother moved to N CA and then figured out that he wanted to escape! He didn't want to be the last one to leave! LoL Oh, I like pictures!
Thanks Dan, I'll be right behind you guys soon. Been here 24 years since I joined, I'm ready to go back to Texas!
Howdy, Steve. Welcome aboard. I'm a native of Burbank, CA currently living in the extreme north end of the state. I too would like to get out of the "People's Republic of California" ... but in reality, at my age I'll likely die here. Could be worse though; I could still be down on the south end! Thank you for your service!
Steve If you care about era, PFE cars were gone by the time your GE units were painted BNSF. They could be painted BN or BNSF as they were still being used in my time there. 1998-2000 & railfaning afterwards.
Thanks Cajon, good to know info. Couple other videos I made recently, guess I should eventually start a thread.... Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
