Happy Tax day! I'm writing this from the Best Western Mountain Inn Tehachapi Ca. I saw far more trains than I was able to take pictures of, but that doesn't matter, because I still got some great shots. Today though, no trains, I thought you'd all find this more interesting. If you've been keeping up, you know that BNSF is paying to double track the route. Lest anyone think this wasn't true (or didn't realize that Abo Canyon shows they can put a second track anywhere, I present, the remnants of Tunnel 10:
About 15 years ago I received a letter in the mail with some photos in it. There was no return address so I do not know who sent it. It was post marked Glenshaw, PA which is outside Pittsburgh on August 21, 2001. So I assume these photos were taken sometime before that date. Here are two of the images, location and photographer unknown.

Yes, it was a logging road. It was started in 1925 by the Singer Co - the sewing machine guys! It was closed down in 1986.
Was heading across town and this train full of wind blades was setting at the crossing. The inbound crew had just disembarked, I waited for them to leave, and here it sits waiting for a new crew. Next stop would be somewhere up Sidney way.
