Still working on lights...first up fuel pad and yard office: Fuel Pad only: Yard Office only (FYI interior is detailed): And while I was at it, added a light in the water tower area:
Your lighting provides another interesting aspect to what are already great daylight scenes. Very nicely done Jim! Any plans to add perimeter/ general yard lighting as a means of continuity between the individual scenes, creating an overall yard scene?
Finally finished my wind turbine train thanks to talented Shapeways designer David McConnell who created the masts, nacelles, and hubs. Here's the whole train: A closer shot of just the masts, hubs, and nacelles: The neat thing is, you could build a complete turbine with the loads on this train - David designed the parts to fit Mark Watson's blades. You could even power it, I suspect! Here's a shot of the base and middle mast sections: And finally the hubs and nacelles on heavy duty flats, also available from shapeways (David also included the shipping fixtures):
Wow Jim, you never cease to amaze! You keep on improving a layout that I saw as perfect to begin with. Keep the photos coming! And thanks for sharing!
Hi Jim I love your Layout! You do e very good Job! Your engine Rooster must be huge!? And I am glad you’re also a BNSF Fan. I have seen you live in Tennessee; I thought you’re based in California. Then I would like to see it real. If everything goes right I will be in California end of April. I have a two week job over there and after that I will spend one week around Caliente and Mojave to get more inspiration to finish my Job in my basement Who is the manufacturer of these heavy weight cars?
