The National Train Show is coming up in a few weeks! It looks like there is going to be plenty of Z scale to see with quite the selection of Z scale layout and modules on hand. The show opens on Friday July 18th. Conventions have it to themselves in the morning of the 18th. It is open to the public in the afternoon. I am going to be in the AZL booth. It is booth 112. AZL is promising to announce new body styles of rolling stock and possibly a locomotive. Plus we have LOTS of new items to show off. These will be items that will be released over the coming months. Hans and Rob of AZL will be at the show as well. If anyone needs anything from the Ztrack stores, let me know. I can drop off at the NTS to save on the shipping. Additionally, if anyone is driving through Columbus on their way home on Monday, I will have the Ztrack offices open for visitors. Rob
Thank you Rob! In my case, I would need about 40 RTR, power routing, side-mechanismless and roadbedless #6 turnouts. Naaaahhhhh!!!!! Just kidding... Dom
I think we will use this tread as a Trainboard update from NTS. Look for fresh news on Friday. You may also visit our web site: americanzline.com Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Thanks for the update. cant wait to see the pictures. Really sad about the AC4400 was really looking forward to it. but I know you got your hands full. maybe later in the future OR IN BRASS
Those engines all look amazing. I see some repaints in my future with those. Any road name releases for the first run of F's?
AZL National Train Show New Product Announcement, Part 2 The AC4400 is pulled, but we are doing the ES44AC instead. With all the Heritage paint schemes, we just had to do it. Both Hi-Ad and Self-Steering trucks will be available as will other unique features such as different cab roof antennas. Hans, you got me for a minute, but I thought what engine would push out the AC4400, and I thought about it. It has to be the ES44AC. Now reading between the line, you said the AC4400 is canceled, but you didn't say anything about the C44-9CW.
Very cool. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Z. F3s f7s E8/9s and now a run of heritage units. That n&w heritage unit will look perfect on my layout.
Hi John, The C44-9W will not be made. I think we communicated this verbally during the Z scale Convention in Denver, but I may be wrong. Anyway the C44-9W/C40-9W was the first true release by AZL as a brass model.
The n&w and nkp bay windows look great. I can finally order a factory azl n&w piece. I never thought I'd see the day! Now I just have to wait for the heritage unit. Thanks Hans, Rob, and Rob for the great work.
I can go for some Ferrosur/Ferromex, NdeM, CN, bright red CP ES44's. I love the colors. I will be needing a few dozen of those 17600 Gallon Tank cars too. But most important is to get lots of those F3's and F7's!
No plans for a SD70ACe in the short term. We just did a rerun of the SD70/SD75 locomotives. As for the ES44AC, two Mexican railroads are planned, KCSM and Ferromex. Read more: http://www.azlforum.com/thread/292/nts-cleveland?page=3#ixzz380T7tX3o
Great addition to the Z scale rolling stock, besides the other announcements! Thank you for sharing Hans.
Is it true that there are only going to be the UP Heritage units? Why not the NS Heritage units. Some were ES44's.
