Hi guys, Sorry about that, busy day yesterday and I couldn't get the thread posted from my phone. Anyway: 2006, Long Beach California. NRE's new concept of a Truck Engine Switcher works in the yard with an Ex-SP GP38-2. This 2 engine 1400 HP unit is to my knowledge the only centercab version they made. I can't remember the designation, I don't believe it used GS14B.
Found in an odd place. Must have been some sort of shop contract work. Savage Services SW1200RSm #7308, in Usk, Washington:

That was taken at the summit of White Pass. Our train was on a parallel track that would be out of view on the right. We were still on the US side of the boarder while the approaching train is still in Canada. It is a telephoto shot so the track looks a little wiggly. On the whole it was a very smooth ride. The rail is quite up to date with well maintained roadbed. The spur shown to the left was short and probably used for pulling the rotary off at the summit to let trains go by.

It looks a lot like the Alco C415 of days gone by. Interesting that a concept that didn't sell much back then is gaining favor now. Now let's pray that bell bottoms don't come back...
