Not wanting to violate any TrainBoard rules so I WONT mention any names. BUT...I recently ordered some things from one of the TrainBoard advertisers. I received the item along with an invoice. To my pleasant surprise the invoice had a handwritten "Thank You George" written on it. I know it may seem trivial...but...sometimes its the little things that make us return to a new or favorite train store...whether it be a LHS or an Etailer. If anyone cares or wants to know who it is...Private Message me...I'll be happy to tell ya !!
That is very cool. And I agree, it is those little things that make a huge difference. In these days when everyone seems to be battling only on price - I would rather deal with someone who knows I have a name.
Not only does George appreciate the kinder acts but he is one that does the same. Despite all the hard ass humor and bantering we have shared here on TB, he is a kind hearted gentleman. Not something I can say of others including myself. For what it's worth department, I have nothing but respect for our friends in New Mexico. Nothing but fine service from two wonderful people.
LOL Well done! I actually don't know who Michelle Fifer is, but I think a lot of us know what super-secret, incognito hobby shop George was referring to--and I appreciate their personal and first-rate service, too.
We've some good ones aboard, as there is more than one here, from which I have seen a Thank You expressed.
I have no idea what this is about. Who is George? And why the words "A crappy actress: Michelle FIFER" I know of Mike and Robin Fifer, but know nothing of a Michelle Fifer.
I think it's clear that we are talking about wig-wag-trains and Fifer Hobbies - both TrainBoard advertisers. Giving kudos to our partners is fine. If we didn't believe in the integrity and quality of these folks, they would not be advertisers. Sent from my Motorola Electrify using Tapatalk 2
I believe the George being referenced may be the original poster, mtntrainman. I agree, Michelle Pfeiffer is not much as an actress...
George is...well...me !! And yes...was referring to Fifer Hobbies. Robin signed the invoice with a thank you. Thank you Robin *Didnt mean for it all to sound so cryptic...just didnt want to get in trouble if mentioning names was taboo. Thanks...LOL.
Jeez, lol. I know Michelle Pfeifer is not spelled Fifer. He said it was all a big secret so I gave a hint by saying Michelle FIFER. That is all, end of story.
I understood that, as did everyone else. I just carried it a bit further since that (bleh) actress person was punningly referenced....
Bigstatik, As I was the one that questioned the appropriateness of your post, let me say that because you spelled it Fifer and not Pfeiffer, I did not interpret it as a hint. So my apologies as it appears I misinterpreted your post. Paul
