I would love to see pics of the overall module. Being a fan of handlaid trackwork, I have always enjoyed seeing you work.
Well, I have no space in the basement to build up the module. This will be the first time at the next meeting Herbst 2009 For now, I've arranged the segments in an special way. You see, now scenery, only track. Last step was painting the track. Wolfgang
And now was Silver Creek for the first time in action, at the FREMO meeting in Unna, Oct 15 - 18 2009. It was called "Blue Mountains". Well, next time, this will be changed. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKeDWrS01CE&feature=player_profilepage"]YouTube - narrrow gauge[/ame] Wolfgang
There were two "Little Giant" diesels. I choose the painted to buy. It run more quiet but faster. With more quiet a sound decoder makes sense. It's still DC but this engine is from NWSL, a model from Jonan Japan. You can read more about the SP No 1 at the MRH issue 4 - October 2009 | Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine There's an article by Byron Henderson at page 35 about the Carson and Colorado (C&C) between Laws and Keeler. And there're prototype pictures! That's my engine like I've got it. This engine has two motors like the old Bachmann 44-ton. Wolfgang
With Silver Creek in the room entrance I could test run the way and turnouts and crossings. Everything went good. But I needed an extension. And testing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNMWoApr7Dk Next step: scenery. I want to start with the station. Wolfgang
Now I'm busy with the depot. And I've made already an outhouse. It comes from Paper Creek Model Works For the station I'm looking for a suitable paint scheme. Wolfgang
Painting Wolfgang, On another thread about painting the Station, I lost that post some how. Buildings were mustatrd yellow, trim, was dark chocolate brown. Hope you get this one! Watash
re-post Wolfgang, your movie is fasinating! You have great realistic sound, exhausting 4 times as a wheel rolls like it was real! I paid special attention to your coupling, and it was perfect, not once did I see a car get bumped or even move when you coupled up! It was just great as always! I could close my eyes, lean back, and it sounded like a real engine working down in a valley! I am IMPRESSED !!! On another thread about painting the Station, I lost that post some how. Buildings were mustatrd yellow, trim, dark chocolate brown. Hope you get this one! Watash
Watash, the engine is from Blackstone, Tsunami ! Blackstone Models I've got it from a friend for testing. I have no H0n3-engine until now. But I will ! Now I have a break with the Silver Creek station. I'm busy with Fiddletown, a small staging yard in two segments. Look at the Layout Party. Wolfgang
Break is over. In the time between I had built a fiddle yard "Fiddletown", look at Second Annual International Winter Layout Party - TrainBoard.com Now I've started with some basic scenery like Woodland. You can see the place for the mine. This Red Mountain Mine I've got from my friend Peter in exchange for a module. Now I'm looking for scenery ideas. Anyone? Wolfgang
