John Deere "Green" A long sleuth of new John Deere tractors comes in on the transfer from Iowa Northern to the UP on Job 32's train. These tractors were assembled in Waterloo, IA. Nothing runs like a Deere, of course it has to get there first.
Spent all day watching trains go by and nary a green car. Just some green lettering on a Tropicana Juice car. So, here is a green light in a display case.
Nice shot, Hemi! I "had" (or was going to) a good shot in the making. Saw a UP work train this afternoon... all green following two yellow. The lump on my head, the bloody knees, the thistle-thorn marks, and the sprained hand tell the story of the fall I took running to my best location. OUCH!!!! The camera survived and is working, so if something green goes past tomorrow, I'm in.
Clear signal indication, an Engineers favorite, reflects off the rails at midnight on the NS Line to Chattanooga. Simple, and all green.
There's an old railroader saying that goes like this: "If it's not all red, then it's not red at all!" Cool shot!
Neat shot--looks as if the original stone lining was removed to allow clearance of hi-wide traffic, like autoracks and doublestacks. Model that!:tb-wink:
Ya, I took three photos then showed my daughter the entires that were in the contest. I ask her which one I should enter. Voting is going to be interesting for sure. My second choice will be in the "cutting room floor" thread I hope she picked the right one. HA!
