I know it's supposed to be a collector's item, but still... http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwazzdisQQhtZ-1 Not to jump too hard on the mocking eBay bandwagon, but is this guy for real?
If I'm gonna pay that much for a container, It'd better be able to ride on a real train, truck or ship...
Its Rare But like my steaks that way , at PWRS all is rare . I will admit there were not very many of these and people said $300 was to much for my life savor car.
i got news for you, if my wife found out i was planning to buy a simple rail car (no matter how rare) for $1000.00 i'd need the money for either the stitches or the shrink. but i wish them luck. don't ya just love capitalism.lol
I'm surprised at the $1200 for a ten pack of Deluxe Coalporters. I get a hunch that somewhere, you could find those, and for that matter, they could always do another run if they are that much in demand.
guess you didn't read the item description. it's for 58 cars not 10. minimum bid is $750 which gives roughly $13 per car.
You took the words right out of my mouth... This is psycho if you ask me, Almost like the Slugs that have been going for well over the $200.00 range recently. The BNSF if you look at is warped and the handrails are pieced together in the center?????????????? are people for real????????????
But likely not 58 unique road numbers. DI has not done that many. The DETX were still available last week as we took all they had left. We also took all they had of these that were special runs: UFIX HIPX SATX JACX SFIX CNA "Noodle" BN Green/Silver and also: BN Black
Look at the guys feedback. 100% but it is all from sellers. He has only been a buyer. He has never sold anything. I am watching and will see if anybody bought any of his items. I know PWRS produces "limited" editions, but are they really collectible? I would be embarrased to tell somebody I paid that much for a container.
a thousand dollars..!!! If its that rare he should just keep it....... Watch, next week he will throw in Anna Nicoles bugger and get a million bucks out of it.
In my opinion, it is very rare and worth alot. But, that is only in original condition. He doesn't have the original car, other container, or piece of track. He may not even have the box. Now you may say, why would the walthers intermodal car, and a piece of kato track make it worth $1000. Simple. It was part of the original rare car. Just one of the containers should not be getting close to that. Its like selling a super rare painting without the frame. It just isn't the complete thing. Or selling a collector Ferrari without the seats and engine. We will see if it sells or not.
