YEAH!!! I just got back from the mailbox and it's here, BoxcabE50. Thank you! Mine in exchange should be to you soon. I mailed it about 2 days ago. Now that I've read your letter, I'll be interested to see what you think of mine. -JKD P.S. I mailed out a handful about the same time, so a few others will be getting theirs soon too.
I have passes from: Duane Charles in today's mail. Great stuff. I hope the one's I mailed last week start arriving soon. If they're not there by Friday to some of you, I'll be resending stuff.
JDK, Glad to here you got mine. MK&E I am still looking through the daily Christmas cards for a rail pass card I will keep you posted.
JKD- USPS delivered today. That's quite a fancy package of information! Very nicely done! Please, please, please tell me how you were able to reduce that Milw Herald, and print it so clearly on your pass? I want one on my pass. During the past year, I have tried, and failed several times. My attempts come out as little red blobs. Help? Boxcab E50
PHEW!!! Glad the USPS finally started delivering. Glad you like them, Boxcab. Mr. Train, I'll be interested to hear what you think too. Boxcab E50, PM me your email address... I have a file to send you to answer the Milwaukee logo question. Merry Christmas!
JKD, I've got your letter with pass and big content. Thank you very much. The answer is in the mail box. You should get it next year. Happy New Year. Wolfgang
Jeremy- Are you having any luck, with that list I'd sent? Sure hoping you'll have a good response! Boxcab E50
Ken, I've had excellent luck with the 2 batches of passes I sent out around the time I sent yours. I put things kinda on hold to get ready to move (this weekend... YEAH!!!). Once I'm in the new house, I'll be going down the list, probably will start in the next week or two sending more passes out. Did you get that MILW logo to print that I sent? Jeremy
Jeremy- I have fiddled with it a couple of times. Must be doing something wrong! When I try to insert it, the file goes wacky. My passes were done in MS Publisher. Guess I'll need to catch my wife, and see if she can spot what's happening. She's very good with Publisher. Boxcab E50
I received an electronic rail pass from a gentleman in Germany yesterday. If you're interested, just go to his web site and click on the request for rail pass. You will receive a couple of colorful electronic rail passes and have a look around while you are there. http://www.haralds-us-modellbahn-welt.de.vu/
OK, I want to get a design going so I can jump into this, too. What size is being used by most people? Setting up to print on business card stock would be the easiest, but if my memory serves me right passes were printed on credit card-sized stock years ago.
Most of the ones I've received or sent are in the 2.5" x 4" range. Some are slightly bigger, some are slightly smaller. That reminds me, now that I'm moved and actually in the house, I need to get some more passes sent!
Put me on your list when you get ready. You can PM me your address I wil send you my MK&E for you to have and look at.
The traditional size as indeed closer to credit card/membership card size. Either squared or rounded corners. Many fellows have chosen for business card size, so they can print via home PC. You lose ability to have a lot of detail, in a smaller size. Otherwise they're fine. Mine were done in traditional size, using MS Publisher. Let me know when you are ready. I'll happy swap passes, and also put you in touch with a fellow who is very helpful in getting you connected to other traders. Boxcab E50
Got your PM I will have mine in the mail to your address soon. Thanks for joining the group:tb-rolleyes:
In with both feet Mr. Train and BoxcabE50 have already (or soon will) put one of their passes into the mail in exchange for one of mine. Anybody else who wants one can either PM me here or send snail mail to my home address which is listed on the rail pass page on my website.
