Mark- We see the results of over dependency on keyboards every day. Unplug that computer, hand them a pencil and paper. Tell them to write something. Very few are able. The same with basic math. Even so-called "honor roll" students, who cannot count their change when purchasing candy. Bleh. I love seeing the handwriting on these old documents. It's art. Onward..... Boxcab E50
I am the only person in my Monday night class who takes notes with a pencil and paper. I always take my 1972 Nikon F2 with me when I go out pitcher takin'. When it is too cold, or we have been out too long, and myself and everyone around me are watching our battery operated digital cameras die off, I pull out the F2, estimate my exposure and keep on shooting. If I really want to be a photo snob, I break out my 4x5 Crown Graphic Field View.
I'd love to still use my Minolta XG7. Am perfectly happy with it. But cannot find a film that makes me as happy as Kodachrome 64. (Love those warm, earthy tones!) It's hard to find. And harder to have processsed. With Kodak not wanting my business any more, to heck with them. Digital it is for now. mg:  Boxcab E50
