Happy 47th Birthday! Memory? What was it like? Oh yah. My daughter turned 51 on the 8th. Thanksgiving was my 72nd. Just wait. Ha!
A few more things came in the mail today from various hobby shops across the country- Very excited for the Atlas UP SD60, which will get minor patches for Helm and join a growing roster of leased power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ugh after having such good experiences with my first few orders with Trainz.com - they've gone AWOL on my Coverall Paints kit and Lunde Kelly's Cafe. Ordered last Thursday, ZERO responses from customer service inquiries. Have to do a charge back. I hate the fact that I now have to use a business that is further away from me but I can't tolerate such lack of service. I get it, if you're having supply issues it's uncomfortable to tell the customer, but jeez, do you think going in the bunker is a better idea? It never is. Had to leave a 1 star review on Google and I hate doing that.
I love these online retailers that ignore every blasted customer service contact you make with them privately. But if you post a message on their Instagram - WHOA NELLY - they are ready to serve you like a champ! Nope. Sorry. Don't work that way with me.
You do @Hoghead2 and I hate doing it but they force your hand. One retailer who can't be named, made me "create a ticket" to send a support request. Pffffft. I said if it's not shipped today cancel the order. Well all be damned I got an email saying it was shipped all of a sudden. It's like they love making you wait. You got my money INSTANTLY, I'm not expecting instant shipping, but more than 2 days is BS. Esp when you pay for expedited shipping.
I just ordered 5 Tichy Train Group N scale sugar beet car kits from a dealer who will remain undisclosed. I woulda ordered more, but that was all they had.
I get it, for some of them they are short on stock, but just tell the customer, if you tell us immediately there will be no bitterness or anger. But if you go in the bunker and avoid the issue - you're just going to p--- off the customer. I prefer sites with live stock updates. The only thing I won't do is order from California, it just takes too damn long to get here. Unless I have no choice, then I will. It seems like the east coast is pretty ripe and heavy with model railroad retailers which is a bonus. Order anything car related and it's a good chance it'll be coming from CA. I hope some of these supply ships are taking up Texas and Florida's offer to offload their containers.
Boy could I get into this. It is electrical but they don't register with this board. So I'll just have another cup of coffee.
I found another dealer who had 7 more Tichy sugar beet cars. That gives me 12 so far. I guess I'd better go count just how many Microscale sugar beet car decals I have stashed away...
BLMA billboard just arrived. I'll open it soon to make everything is alright and change some billboard's. Also already downloaded the extra ones from Atlas website. Suppose to get the Amazon electrical/electronics parts Saturday? Just noticed these recently in some YT videos, and also members posted their pictures of them recently on their layout's. Should look cool I guess the pole isn't glued on when getting it? Or mine isn't.
Rats!!! The dealer just emailed me saying they only have 2 cars left. Hmm... that reminds me... Hey Kiz, I only have two bananas left for the rest of the week...
Have been getting a lot of deliveries finally coming in over the last week or so but didn't want to flog this thread (I should just start a whole build thread of my own, eh?). I am coocoo for cocoa puffs over my buses that came today though For no bigger than these things are, the details are fantastic. Loving the Hiroshima Carp one. Too much fun.
Mine was glued on so maybe they changed that or it came apart in shipping? Quick tip for installation: I drilled a hole in the bottom of the pole just big enough to pressure fit a round toothpick in there. Then skewered it into the foam base and done.
