Moose had built these three RS Laser logging camp kits a few months back, but Moose no know where Moose posted since not in this thread. Moose like the look of these kits, but Moose no likey some issues with building them. There were several laser cuts that did not go through the thickness of the wood, and quite a bit of the windows were unusable. Was expecting a little better quality for the price.
Alright, that's the 3rd or 4th time I have seen this metal craft thingy for helping put buildings together and the magnet's, what it is called and do most craft stores sell them? And do the magnet's come with it? It appears it would help w lot with corners and such?
Moose bought this from Micro-Mark, part number 60304. Moose no recall ever seeing one of these in a craft store. The larger square magnets come with the jig. The small round magnets were from a local craft store. Yes, it does help a lot with with corners and any time your hooves are too big to hold parts as the glue dries. Moose very glad to have it -- it gets used quite a bit!
I have seen slightly large ones are a hardware store. But, it was rather heavier compared to what I see at Micro-Mark. So was the price.
They also have a pack of eight extra magnets part # 60305. I bought the extra magnets when I bought my Magnetic Gluing Jig.
In2, Agreed, this Micromark magnet/square assembly tool is very helpful. I have had mine for a long time. - Tonkphilip
I'll throw in one more for the Micro Mark gluing jig. VERY helpful. I don't recall price but wasn't bad and really worth it.
Moose tired of looking at Model Power Pacific with broken tender draw-bar pin, just sitting there on the layout, sooo, fixed it with super glue! And then tested her on the main between Westport and the south east tunnel heading to Oban. Hasn't failed yet!
Well, there were some purty ladies in that opening scene, so think about them ... while you endlessly humm that tune....
That was the intended site for my new HO layout back in '07. I still have the passenger car but couldn't find the Rogers engine. Also have some 'Green Acres' stuff. Maybe later.
I Have a Great Ape which I smuggled out of the San Francisco Zoo while I was in the Army. Her name is Ms. Dee Rayle, and she has derailed many of my projects. Hmm... nobody would read your stupid posts if it weren't for me...
