I had to laugh when I noticed under "Item Specifics", among other things it says "Warning: No eating." Actually, those appear to be poor knockoffs of Del Prado. The Del Prados I've seen have pretty decent detailing, the ones above, definitely not.
Yet here is another RD -READERS DIGEST- set Lot of 7 Southern Pacific - Reader's Digest - Dummy N Scale Trains 3 Locomotives | eBay Tom
Well, at least the seller does describe the origins of their items correctly. But that still doesn't justify the price.
I'm guessing that broken N Scale caboose smokestacks have been a bane for modelers? Advanced materials engineering has found a solution for only $1.10 Ea. Save more by buying in bulk.
N Scale - Kato Denver & Rio Grande AC4400CW w/ DCC (Custom Painted) #8247 N3607 | eBay .. Have to love the starting bid! lol. Tom
$12.99 for the actual MTL car... OK, maybe. $10.00 for "Economy Shipping"... No thanks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402986383396 This is an example of how sellers are trying to deal with eBay's seller fees-- add on to the postage costs. Except not only is this a large shipping cost (and nothing said about combined shipping) but I (and probably you) get to pay sales tax on that shipping as well.
Variation on a theme... Spoiler Alert: No, it's not a Micro-Trains car... I suppose some credit could be given for effort, though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174837080900
HiSpeed strikes again! Before I bid on anything on that site, now I have to check the shipping costs. $10 shipping for one MT car is becoming very common, but sometimes they will post something very cheap with the shipping cost being the value of the item hoping to fool someone into buying it.
USPS Flat Rate Priority is only $8.45. Free shipping box. And that includes insurance. It would be entertaining to know how that seller defines "economy".
Ha! I don't think I've ever seen that. I noticed on the back it has a guarantee of satisfaction, I wonder if anybody sent the lcocomotive back complaining that it doesn't run.
