Has anybody here purchased and built one of the "Proses" helix kits sold on ebay? And if so, what was your impressions? They come out of Turkey of all places and from the looks of them they appear to be relatively easy to assemble and of good quality, if a bit expensive. If this isn't the best place to ask this question, feel free to suggest another spot on the forum.
Turkey actually has some pretty advanced manufacturing capabilities. As a former manufacturing partner on some major US weapon systems, they performed pretty well (with a lot of help to get them up to that level.) Until they switch-hit.
It wasn't so much the manufacturing capability I was questioning as it was; who thinks of Turkey as a hotbed of model railroading?
