All, Here's one for you ! > Minitrix 2-6-4 Pennsylvania Steam VG+ Condition No Box Should Be Serviced | eBay ... Since when did LIMA become MINITRIX ? Tom
Just curious since I have one of them too... just how crazy high are these selling for?? Mine is straight DC... what are those ordinary models selling for? Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
I inadvertently posted the link for the photo instead of the link to the eBay listing, and the edit option is gone. Here's the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-N-SCA...C-Spirit-of-1776-U25B-Locomotive/294037534288 The seller has a "buy it now" price of $480. The Atlas insert has the item number for the DC version, but one of the photos shows a sticker on the bottom of the jewel case indicating that it is the DCC version. Maybe the item numbers shown on the Atlas archive page are in error. http://archive.atlasrr.com/NLoco/arc-nu25b.htm The seller's description states "DCC ready". The original MSRP was $90/DC and $135/DCC. Also, the loco is not quite as old as I thought it was, having been released in 2002.
I'm not sure what to make of this Everything he has - $999.00 - very strange. "But, Honey - I put everything on EBay -- no one wants to buy my stuff" https://www.ebay.com/sch/kwajaburg/...sA4AAOSwsOBf2qt2&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Wierd, Wolf
I saw that yesterday when I was looking at some On30 scale stuff. I mean, he does have one tank car and one engine at reasonable prices ($13.34 and $151.21 w/ DCC), although his shipping is ridiculous ($14 from Pennsylvania to Washington?)
I was looking at his Z-scale stuff, all at $999.00 each! Must've been a late night, didn't realize he clicked the same price on everything??
Man - I'll say he is a bit upset. Perhaps, he should visit his place of worship. Just a thought - Kind of took the humor out of: More E-Bay Humor. Wolf
All , Not sure if these would count here >*Rare* GALOOB MICRO MACHINES TRAIN TRESTLE *Minty* NEW and SEALED 47246649006 | eBay >Bachmann 53251 N Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 Class J Steam Locomotive #602 22899532516 | eBay Tom
I saw this and the accompanying disclaimers. This is really too bad-- I've bought on eBay before from him and he seems reasonable. Moderators, feel free to "woo woo woo" this but I think I'm OK... the same seller mentions that he has, let us say, alternate forms of purchasing from him that don't involve "e" and "Bay" in the same sentence. I can verify that's correct.
Just to show that It's Not Just eBay -- although I wouldn't be surprised if eBay was a reference point for these prices. This was at an antique / flea market / co-op my wife and I visited yesterday. Interestingly, the same case contained the largest amount of TT Gauge (!!!!) I've ever seen in one place.
I didn't even know eBay had a "rare scales" section. Is that for all the stuff that doesn't actually have a scale? The trestle price definitely looks ridiculously high. It's a TOY, and all you get is an add-on to an existing set. The Class J, on the other hand, looks reasonable, considering it's a steam engine with DCC and Sound. I know Bachmann tends to overprice things, but from what I've heard and read on Spookshow, this engine is probably worth at least what he's asking.
OK. I have been around a bunch of decades now, but just what is "*Minty*"??? Sounds more like the flavor of a breath mint or toothpaste than anything model railroad....
