The sides of diorama were made using thin plywood. I prepared the river with the other riverbank: I will try to follow this picture with riverbank landscaping:
Excellent work! I like the really fine handrails on the load dock. Are they photo-etched? Simple details sure make the rest of the model come to life.
Everything looks great. That Kibri building is versatile. I use photo etched N-scale ladders with one rail removed for railings. Jim
Thank you for your comments. There was no much progress with this diorama during last weeks. I started to collect small items to make it better looking in the future. Vehicles proper for 1930-1940 are a starting point. First ones I got are Opel Blits and Mercedes Benz vans. They are 3D printed and painted by myself:
Very nice! Where did you get the .STL files for the prints? Resin printed? The 3D Printing & More forum would like to see these in Z...
They are designed and 3D printed by a fellow modeller from Z Friends International Forum. I am very happy to find on Shapeways also trucks produced in Poland in 30ties: Fiat 618, Fiat 621 and Ursus A. I added some loads as well:
It is time to go back to the diorama itself. I have do design last warehause building. It is based on old photos but must be much smaller and simplified due to the available space. Starting point is a mock-up.
Love the newest diorama! Great detail, interesting subject and great skills! I like following your builds. Scott
