The only thing I am waiting for right now is a sheet of genuine Lone Star British crest (lion in a circle) decals for the British D5000 and D5900 locomotives. Some of mine are missing. I never thought I would ever see these. It's taking a while since they are coming from Jolly Old England. Doug
Ordered Rolling Stones "Havana Nights" DVD a few years ago. It was actually delivered within 16 hours !!! According to tracking and delivery time stamps, it was delivered before I ordered it. Some Doctor Who stuff going on there !!! Why can't that happen with train stuff ???
Ordered a Bachmann 4-8-4 tender wheel wipe kit and LED kit from Johnson Controls a couple months back, wasn't given any idea how long it'll take, but I'm waiting, so I think this counts. It'll be here some day.
Thanks to Bremmer, I'm now waiting on a pair of N Scale Kits Pacific Electric Hart Convertible Gondolas, a Pacific Electric caboose from Robert Ray, and decals for that caboose from K4 decals. Not complaining at all since I only ordered everything yesterday. I was born in So Cal and used to cross the PE tracks in Upland going to my dad's store and always just liked how the right of way looked. I never got to see the PE when it was operating, but have always gotten any PE rolling stock that was offered to remind me of my original home. Only other thing that I have on order is MT's wine cars - have the first four waiting for the latest ones.
I'm on the same boat with Dave. I ordered a pair of pantographs from Japan first of March. Actually, I just email the company about other shipping options yesterday. Waiting to hear back from them. Bob
With Japan shut up tighter than a drum for stuff coming out and going in the only option is ground and sea. Recently got an order that way that took about 50 days.
There is an HOn30 item I have wanted to order from Japan. But I have been holding back until transit times are significantly decreased.
I have one bottle of paint on order at the moment. Due today. I've been lucky with shipping. A few times, it has taken a day longer in transit than expected but that is okay. I have had a couple of shipments that were delayed at the e-tailer but was notified of the estimated ship date so can't complain there either. Probably just cursed myself but let's hope not
Just thought you might like to know. I ordered two items one from Florida and the other from Nevada and I live in Idaho. Both arrived within 2 days of each other and took less then five days from shipping to arrival, to get here. Not sure what the noise about the postal service being unable to deliver mail, is all about. Moronic thinking of the day.
Yup...the new postmaster general is the biggest moron ..EVER !! Those who care to read can find his true agenda everywhere they look.
I got three orders for IM passenger cars now going on 2-3 years (maybe I get to wait a decade like I did for the Shasta Daylight cars). I suspect the better quality Railsmith line will eclipse those too. Once of these days Atlas will fix the molds for the SD9's so I can get my SP Black Widows that are on order, now over 3 years ago too. Actively, there's a shipment with one of those Trainworx vintage tank trucks coming that was ordered a few years ago , but who knows when it will show up. Hope it doesn't take as long as the latest license plate delivery (only took 28 days to go 60 miles via first class).
Just got mine in today (texaco). Well worth the wait! I do wish trainworx turnaround was a bit more on schedule as I've still got their "Toad's pad" on back order which was announced the same time. Crossing fingers it will follow shortly LOL. China situation has me wondering how much further off their recent announcements will be as I've ordered a couple of KW day cab kits. Seems like they/he has been pushing them out recently though so we shall see.
Well I am trying to figure out where my Shapeways order is now. Left New Jersey 5 days ago and ended up in North Caroline which is way past me.
The USPS is using the hub system like the airlines. I recently had to send something to Georgia (from Northeast) using Priority Mail 2-Days. It went to Florida before coming back up to Georgia. Delivered two days late. That's expected now a days. Even the clerk behind the counter said that Priority 2-Days can take 3-4 days now due to COVID.
I just had a 3 day priority box go from Colorado to Minnesota, then back to Las Vegas. It only took 6 days. I’ve never had a package routed like that until this year.
I have a BR216 that shipped out of Germany six weeks ago. It's been sitting in customs in NY since August 1st.
