The business end of things needed a 3D printer. So now I'm test-printing tiny stuff like HO and N scale Tesla Cybertrucks (print quality tests)... I'm curious what you fellas might need 3D printed? Maybe I should offer print time for a reasonable rate? This is FUN!
I noticed you did not mention Z, so it's probably not a UV Resin, rather a filament extruder printer? I think you can make Z scale wall sections like the old DPM brick storefront kits with that printer.
Correct, I have a Creality Ender 3... but I ordered .1mm nozzles (stock is .4mm) and this thing should do a good amount of detail at that level! Sure the Print might take a while running such a thin bead but patience is a virtue I’m thinking at the very least I need to print a couple Studebakers for my little Z layout as a start! And that’s a very solid idea, this thing does pretty great angular (brick/square) detail even on small stuff. Just gotta find some building models to play with!
One other thing that it would be good for, is if you have a small wood building, add another floor to it. Make a lower level brick garage with a concrete staircase, and put the wood kit on top.
Mile markers? Turnout Markers? 'Container Homes'? Homes made the size of shipping containers. Girders? Ideally 12"s long that could easily be cut down?
@NtheBasement You reminded me. I want Unit train couplets for 'B'ath gons' in general Atlas 'Ore' cars. specifically These don't have to be rotating, (for me),
School buses (Freightliner and International) and construction equipment (dump trucks, excavators, rock crushers, etc.).
Have a look at my N Scale Stuff. I designed them to be printed on FDM printers with a .4mm nozzle. https://www.thingiverse.com/ajkochev/designs
Can you make the antenna parts for an old Kato observation car? I purchased used and they didn't have one.
I need 12 feet of Pasture Fence !! I have to fence in a horse boarding ranch ! I tried etched brass 3 rail fencing. It was all to 'flimsy' at best...
