All, Being that I am a Former ho-SCALER . I SAW THIS PHOTO on faceb., I don't think The Four Axle ALCO HI-AD CENTURY SREISE Loco Trucks Look just right , correct? Tom
Funny that I just posted a photo of the real thing this morning at [ https://www.trainboard.com/highball...pe-photos-for-all.81841/page-222#post-1118279 ]. Nope, they don't look right.
I haven't really seen HiAd sideframes sold separately. I know Bowser makes some of the Century Series and various brass companies too, but parts seem in short supply. The Athearn trucks are probably the closest in appearance.
I found some outline drawings, but they don’t have any dimensions. If somebody knows the wheelbase for this truck, I could use it as a datum and base everything else off of it. What model would it be used under? Anybody who has an Alco model either has these trucks already or is converting the Type B trucks to Hi-Ad. That is the only use I can think of. I would need to know how the sideframes attach to the model in order to get them to work. That would vary by manufacturer. If I designed them to fit a Bowser truck, they might not fit on the Atlas model (for example).
Nor does the fuel tank look correct ! And apparently the person used a ATHEARN BB -BLUE BOX GP40 CHASSIS . Tom
