I am speechless. So as we can all see this, here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Br...770188?hash=item2161fb26cc:g:JKcAAOSwnRtddaMu
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BOSTON-MAI...5009-New-in-case-see-description/133171945947 "Locomotive is brand new but the outer lastic (sic) casing is bit damaged. I believe when it was in car the sun reflection caused the plastic to get deformed." This is why you never leave your babies, human or train, in the back of a hot car!
At least the seller isn't asking an arm and a leg price for it. Might be a decent deal for someone needing parts or a mech. As for leaving stuff in the car. You are dead on. Absolute worst thing you can do. Doesn't even have to be super hot outside for this to happen inside. In addition to what you mentioned, it is also killer for electronics. Cheap plastic water bottles are another under known hazard here. They don't deform like the hard plastics but they do release chemicals from the plastic into the water that have the possibility to cause breast cancer in both men and women. Be safe and shop the bay carefully.
Well said. I rarely leave my camera in my vehicle for the same reason, carrying my camera bag into stores to avoid the heat. I also figure that high heat could serve to ruin the specialized lubricant in a shutter mechanism.
Here is another of his listings. I know brand new UNITRACK can be expensive, but on the secondary market it’s pretty cheap... unless... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kato-Unitr...733945?hash=item216209db79:g:pjEAAOSwmsJddvuo
Actually...used Unitrack holds its value better then others. Its hard to mess up a piece of Unitrack.
I know it does, but I have paid far less for more track. It looks like he is asking about retail for the lot
I sold several used LL F-units on Fee Pay. I opened the biding at fifteen dollars on each one. For most of them, that was all that I got. I did get twenty for one or two. His thirteen dollar price seems a bit high, by comparison. Still, not only on this topic, but, in my wanderings on Fee Pay, I have seen far worse for far more. You need not leave it in the car, even. Many years back, several of us brought our modules over to this guy's house and we set them up in his back yard. It was early summer. I had a C-C set of SP Lark HWs, still in that flat box with the plastic window. I was not paying attention. Several hours later, I went to get the box, and saw the disaster. Baggage, diner and combine were ruined. I did manage to butt the passenger end of the combine to the small door end of the baggage car to make a shorty combine, but, everything else got cut up for its parts. The coach, sleeper and open deck observation car did survive.
My EYES! It's Frankentrain! Brass?!! It looks like someone took a very old brass underframe for an undec F unit, attached a shortie MDC passenger car body to it...but wait, they didn't have the roof so lets use some brick siding and a stick for a running board. Good thing its only $38.75! woo woo woo?!! And listed in like new condition?!! Oh, wait, it's HO...that explains a lot.
Ugh... there should some criminal offense this modeler can be charged with for the two monstrosities he has posted on eBay. This should qualfy for 'slandering N scale'. Life imprisonment watching endless reruns of Petticoat Junction. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
It's actually quite easy. I've watched it done. I tend to try and keep those folks away from my trains too. Just sayin'....
Had to chuckle at this one. $26.00 gets you an Atlas 90 ton hopper, with Rapido couplers no less, filled with pumpkins. Shipping is free too! https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-At...783689&hash=item1f00875ee2:g:6ksAAOSw3BJcCQVw
Yeah...but those are Pennsy Prime Pumpkins which would easily be about 4' wide and weigh in at several hundred pound. You just can't find a haul like that just anywhere... only on eBay... Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
