Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a good, long weekend and got many things accomplished. Saturday: Was beautiful. I got my fill of classic cars, fried food and even a beer or two. Angela's Dad's Mustang looked great and received many compliments and we planned to go to yet another car show later in October. Sunday: I worked on some of the track work on what I have now re-named the Hillsboro Branch of the B&M to better match it's prototype. I had forgotten that Jared had a college soccer game and that it was a home game so we left about noon to southwestern Illinois to go watch him play. We then went to dinner and came home to the pups. Labor Day: I was able to spend all day on the B&M layout and was able to completely finish all the track work on the module, including adding the ties to any joints where rail joiners were used. I wanted to paint the new track but it was already dark when I got to that point. We capped of the weekend by slow cooking a roast on the grill for dinner. So how about you? What did you do over this last official weekend of summer? Let us know. We'll come back again on Friday the 6th to resume our regular schedule. Until then, enjoy the short week, be safe and as always... High Greens!
I made significant progress on my next F-3 set. To be SP DF-2 6143,8045,8055,6155 Started with: Just about ready for paint: Hope Y'all had a great and safe weekend, Wolf
I just finished repainting these two locomotives for my free lance: now the freelance can go under the wires! This is for old settings (really a repainted german from the 30s) This one is in the latest livery (original is a French locomotive from the 70s) Did not really like how the last one ended up, will see and probably give it to the kids to play with. (Anyway is brand new and costed 9$). Then it was time to try to sort out a bunch of electrical gremlins under the modules....
I completed my stockyard diorama to be place on club layout. Obviiously lighted and sound has been installed, cattle and people are all on. Here is an overall view View from the end There are some animals, few more to be added Wow, those LED's @ 3 volt are bright ! ! Thanks for looking, Carl
Too nice outside to go down to the train room. All I did was to replace the factory installed couplers with Kadee 158's. Rapido discourages pulling and additional cars with their RSD's so the trip pins on the couplers were removed. Like the looks of the smaller 158 couplers.
My airforce is coming along. One plane left to Build and then all need decals. Monday I wrapped up my research by visiting the airbase one last time. Found the missing information I needed.
The B-17, B-24's and P-47's look great. Where did you find these kits and can you tell me the manufacturer?
