Hi everyone, here's the photos for the week nscalestation in Tokyo BNSF FAN at Chattanooga gjslsffan with BNSF 9647 SP 9811 with a SP freight BuddyBurton with Ferromex 4696 Akirasho with some diesels heading somewhere r_i_straw with a ex-SP tunnel motor co_riff with a mix of diesels Hardcoaler with Lancaster & Chester 91 and WPZephyrFan with the California Northern
These appear to be "standard" gauge. Mining units? With home shop built cabs, possibly for some clearance consideration? More info, please!
As always, interesting selections. Great Tokyo shot. Wasn't BNSF 9647 the unit that used to be called the "barf bonnet" by fans? I always thought it looked good and wished BNSF would have adopted the warbonnet style.
The only additional info I have is that AK Steel operates a plant in Middletown, OH (halfway 'tween Cincy & Dayton). While I can't confirm these units were used at this plant, it seems likely.
