The T&NO heavyweight Sunbeam was re-equipped with new streamlined cars on September 19, 1937. Here train #13 is heading north from Houston toward Dallas on a balmy summer afternoon.
Good morning from cloudy and cold Northeast Ohio. Been awhile since I posted anything here, been busy with family visits and a trip out to Denver over the holidays. First off, nothing done again this week, but am getting close, have the workbench up but need to find the parts bins and glue to get anything done. Took a couple of new for me Athearn F7's to the club to try out with a coal drag at the Strongsville Model Railroad Club. [ Also, while in Denver my son took us up into the mountains via Boulder Canyon and we came back via Cold Creek Canyon, where we stumbled upon these locomotives on a siding outside of Nederland. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
I spent yesterday working on this Walthers kit, EXPRESS MOTOR FREIGHT LINES. Since it's a transition era type kit, the doors are too short for modern trucks. I raised the foundation by .250", and now it's much better. Still lots to do before it's a Candy Streeter model .....
Over the next few weeks I'll be posting "nighttime" shots of the several towns on the layout, starting with Downtown Sarah's Valley
Well Just blew my hobby budget for the next few months, but cant complain too much. I've wanted some of these for a few years now!
Two N-Scale "Little Joes" were born this weekend...E20 and E21: Build credit goes to Jeff at milwaukeeroadtrainshop.com who has helped me a great deal in dialing in the design of these kits. These guys are equipped with sound!
