Shrunk myself down to HO scale, donned my conductor's uniform with a Santa Fe hat, plunked down a Santa Fe step stool, and collected a train ticket from a boarding passenger in Davidsville.

My first foray into HO since childhood. I repaired a very used kato dd51 model and installed DCC. A local modeler very kindly invited some of us N scalers to run on his personal layout and I managed to sneak a run it after a full day of yard work. It's really tempting me to expand back into HO!

Great work everyone for one more week!
I managed to finish a small tree grove in the South Pasadena module. Here a foreman from the shipper is overseeing a local pickup of a loaded boxcar.

Well, here is a guy who had no issues with that. ;) You can even see him wearing a yellow shirt in the model photo above.

I had to go back and look for the guy in the yellow shirt! Awesome bunch of modeling! Candy, it wouldn't be so bad up there, a bit breezy sometimes, but exhilarating fun!

Candy, that's a whole lot better than sliding down a four-foot diameter slanted totally enclosed tube onto a (hopefully) soft rubbish pile from four stories up. One of my school buildings had such, and the first apartment building we lived in.

I love Danes, especially Brindles. My best memory of a Dane was when I was sittiing on the sidewalk weeding the banquet, space between sidewalk and street for you non-New Orleanians. BTW, That's pronounced "Banket". 'Tanyrate I heard this "click, click, click" approaching. When it stopped I looked up into the lovely face of a Dane looking down at me, asking "Whacha Doin'?". Talk about intimidation.

Notice how, in the backdrop, the blue sky changes to a gray haze near the horizon. That is a technique most modelers miss. Good work !
