    Sure was! I have a soft spot for Conrail. Grandfather worked for PRR, PC and Conrail before he retired.

    You are not alone. They worked, hard for the most part. Earned their keep and were immensely proud. Both family, (plus friends thus employed), along with my own personal job contacts in the industry, only cemented my railroad interest, forever.
