Well I’m not in the Station, I’m actually in the next few steps of getting in the cab. Cab of a little Focus anyway. My weekend is driving and rest and unpacking.

How about you? Let us know. We’ll return on Monday the 17th to see how you all did. Until then, to all our modeling friends in the path of Florence, please be safe! Have a great weekend and...

    High Greens!

We have Cub Scout camping this weekend, so trains will be a mental exercise while I try to get all the boys safely back to camp from our day hike tomorrow.

Not sure how much MRRing I'll get to this weekend - however:

Saturday - After a meeting with our financial adviser - continue to work on the 4-4-2 sleeper and the observation for the -- yeah, Y'all guessed it - the Lark. (Getting closer)

Sunday: IN the morning, I'm attending an opps session. For the afternoon --- at this point - who knows.

Y'all have a great weekend. For all Y'all on the Carolina coast --- stay safe!!

Woohoo September is here and I’ve opened the train room. Yesterday I bought a book from a fellow modeler called Utah’s Ghost Trains. Been looking for a copy for a while now. Found out he lives only a street or two away from me and invited him over for a tour of the layout.

Today I plan on more trees. What can I say it’s a big project.

Sunday I hope to continue what I started Monday. I started wiring the roundhouse. As
Soon as that is complete I can ballast and put down ground foam, trees, roads, and crossings and then more sand and gravel then I can move on to the next section of the layout.

Thanks Wolf. We're several hours inland, but on Florence's predicted route. Forecasters have reduced their maximum wind gust prediction here to 50 MPH from 70 and lessened the rain amount a small bit. I hope they're right.

Knock on wood.. So far today Raleigh hasn't gotten the bad winds from Florence that were predicted, so we still have power here. If that holds out, I plan on working on some buildings. Might get some lights put in under the valance I built the last several weekends.
