been a couple of years now since i did anything with my old layout. we moved out of our rv after 21 years on the road. so i have a whole room for my layout! i am doing it in stages this time. am cutting both sides and adding more board. after that is done, i am adding a L part to it and making a coal mine on it. will show pictures soon. with the old layout in storage it had some damage to it but it still is mostly intact. the main reason i put it in storage was that i didn't have room to make it longer. now i can do it. i'm adding 3 feet to the original 5 foot layout. the board will be 3X8 with a 6 foot L added on the one end. don't much look like much going on here on n scale. hope it picks up in the fall. later, smoke

Its about 12X12, First time i have had a room all to myself for more years than i want to count. At my desk, I can look out the only window and see the world go by. One closet to put shelf's in so i can sort all the rr stuff in. Have my own tv and cable along with internet! On my other side i have a work desk so i have a nice place to build things. Don't look at the mess!

Never saw any mess only a vision of what the railroad can be.

Very nice that you have this room to do what you like now.

I got to get some shelving for the closet. Then i can get some things out of the piles and onto a shelf. Right now i got office mixed up with train stuff and tools everywhere. Its been a long time since i had this much room, Feel kinda lost in here. I started to do something to the layout but too much stuff in the way. Should be able to try again later this week. There was a lot of damage to the layout so i am going to repair what i can and start anew.

Well, I did get much work done to the left side. I used Kobob sticks (wood) to put the pieces together. After that i used spray foam to fill the voids. sanded the foam down to where i need it to match up with the old. Have the paper set and ready for plaster cloth. After that i can start scenery and track laying. Have a couple of shots for you, Smoke

I got lucky, i found a nice 8 foot table made like my other table. It was only 6 foot. My new tv for the room came in and the new two kits from JV Models came in too. Was working on four buildings. most of the buildings are repaired but for the houses. I am lucky!! Someone loves me!!
