Second short paragraph, last sentence. >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_Am_Railways#Springfield_Terminal_Railway. Anyways I state Thank You par railways for the good laugh.. Tom
That Guilford chose a time-honored air carrier logo for its identity has always been a bit of a head-scratcher for me.
They used to run a small airline also. Since its inception Guilford has always been a head scratcher. That is what happens when a banker wants a really big trainset to play with. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Yes. I remember seeing pickets at the B&M East Deerfield, MA yard and figured it was not a good day to railfan. Several years before, a friend asked me if I might be interested in a management trainee job in Billerica, MA and after some thought, declined. One of the best career choices I made. <g>
In their defense, this part of PanAm was gone. My photo from one PanAm TriStar to another. We were conducting some sort of airspeed calibration. You can make out the trailing wire behind that one, part of the flight test equipment.
The original Pan Am was gone. They did try to start a new Pan Am Airways from 1998-2004 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Guilford followed the time honored tradition bad companies - Change the name and hope you can catch some new suckers.
