    And yes, these were taken today at South Seattle!! 3/4 miles apart, in three separate consists! :eek:

    I'm always amazed at those really old photos of wrecks - everyone around gets into their Sunday best and climbs atop the wreckage - even into the cab - to have their picture taken... o_O

    Not much has changed since then... now it's selfies with cellphones, but no Sunday best...:ROFLMAO:

    That was on the Houston East & West Texas Railway, sometimes called Hell Either Way Taken. It was narrow gauge until converted to standard in 1894. It came under control of the Southern Pacific and was eventually merged into the T&NO.

    Looks like an ex-Belt Railway of Chicago, and it has it's original "Golden Glow" headlight, with those ditchlights-a span of about 70 years between those two styles!!

    And, is that an ex-SP Tunnel Motor in front of it?:rolleyes:
