Remember, a Cluttered Confused Desk is the sign of a Cluttered Confused Mind, an Empty Desk is the sign of an Empty Mind. However, a well organized, everything at hand desk, regardless of clutter, is the sign of a Model Railroader.

I just realized that my photo at the beginning of this thread was stolen by Photobucket. I found a way around them and I’ve reposted the initial pic. Ha ha, Photobucket!

That Photobucket has sure messed with a lot of people..
Thanks Jim for starting this thread.
I have a few desks that are used in the efforts around here. I was partial to the metal desks with the composite tops, and a used office furniture outfit around here these has descent prices, plus they pinch and scrape me once in a while, and that keeps me grounded in my past (although there is therapy for this I am sure).

There is a jewelers forum that has a section of nothing but photos of members benches and studios.
I like to go there just to look for shop ideas. Some of the work areas are really nice.
Search for ganoksin bench exchange if you are interested.

As of yesterday, I have the last parts of my workbench at home. Today starting to reassemble, clean, etc, etc. Hoping by the end of the day tomorrow, it will once again be fully functional. Then will try taking a picture....

I go to my Photobucket on my iPhone. Go to the photo I want and take a “screenshot” of the image. That way I have the image on my phone’s photo album. I don’t use Photobucket anymore.

I am wondering if on a computer, the good, old fashioned right mouse click/save as would also work for their victims?

Unfortunately my computers got changed over to Windows 10. It doesn't recognise my Iphone, the slot on the front to receive the cards out of the phone and camera is no longer functional and I can't see the saved photographs. Just images of file folders with dates. I can save photo out of the camera with a USB cable and have loaded into Postimage. But that program is pathetic.

I inquired about fixing Windows 10 and it's large amount of pornography and was told I would have to replace my 18 year old Asus computer. And I will still have Microsoft's porn and just guessing at what photos I'm transferring:X3:.

    Oh well I'll keep struggling.

If not, I wonder if a "snipping tool" would work -- ??

Snip the photo - then E-Mail it to yourself. May not be perfect, but at least you would have your photos back (If it works)

Sorry, but there's no foundation for your adage. The way a modeler keeps his or her workbench has no correlation with their ability to produce a quality MRR or other hobby necessities. It just may be the mark of a mad scientist, or simply just the way he likes to run his workbench, and is related to the fact that it's only a hobby; not a business, but a playground of fun, mystery, and lightheartedness, where one can let it all hang out as one wishes...M

Easy Mark, Hytec being a another fellow cheeky New Englander is being just that, cheeky. Don't be like those chaps on the RC forums and read into stuff too deep.

I believe the "mad scientist" adage is at play here! Metro is young yet, a little more time playing in the train room and the "madness" will set in! Then wonderful models will appear to our wondering eyes from the wasteland he calls a 'workbench' !

    :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

And I have no pics of mine, it is way too embarassingly cluttered and piled up with stuff!

My workbench is never cluttered, but it’s always “busy”!
