She's one of, if I remember right, three steamers the Santa Fe held for posterity. She's the last survivor of the locomotives that set a record with Death Valley Scotty's Coyote Special in 1905.

You gotta love that paint scheme when it was clean and fresh. Great images. Burnham really used to keep up on their equipment. Burnham shops like most of those cars are all gone now nothing left. :(:(

At least seven of the eight old Ski Train coaches were sold to the Napa Valley Wine train, not sure what happened to car 1012
-Coach 1011 is Napa Valley 1011 "Cabernet Sauvignon"
-Coach 1013 is NVRR 1013 "Silverado Trail"
-Coach 1014 is NVRR 1014 "Zinfandel"
-Coach 1015 is NVRR 1015 "Le Petit Gourmet"
    -Coach 1016 is NVRR 1016 "49er"
-Coach 1017 is NVRR 1017 "Merlot"
-Coach 1018 is NVRR 1018 "Chardonnay"

Even the lightweight Budd coach 1120 is still around on the Grand Canyon as GCRY 2098 "Colorado River". Companion coach 1121 "Silver Pine" is also still around down on the Austin & Texas Central in Cedar Park, TX.

What is the name of that siding? Starts with a "P"? Plainview? Pinecliff?

I'd say that's right because the shadows are so long. As I recall, the last Zephyrs left both Denver and Salt Lake at eight a.m. and arrived at eight p.m. And that doesn't look that much like Salt Lake.

Definitely Plainview siding. The cut is Rainbow Cut, the signals are west Plain.
