hello does anyone know if bob is still selling his etched kits ? seems like the email address on his website is no longer valid. i urgently need a "wilson's auto ramp" in nscale. anyone out there know more about bob or has a kit for sale ?
I know he's not actively selling after many posts on family issues, the question is if he is ever going to start producing them again. PM me your email address with that request on it. I think the best shot you've got is that one may surface at the N scale weekend in Altoona in August 19-21 from all the dealers and modelers there. If I see one I can let you know. I'm also looking, without much hope, for one of those wonderful brass NYC N9 transfer cabooses he made. So I'm digging in the same places you would be. I've seen them there before, particularly the smaller kits. We had communicated a lot about the Canyon Diablo Bridge kit, I sure wanted one and figured I had to sell a kidney to get one ($$$), but I was thinking about it. I don't know if he ever got his prototype finished.
while not the same, this kit is pretty close. http://www.nscalelaser.com/shop/n-scale/n027-cantilever-bridge-double-track/ and it seems pretty inexpensive.
For a guy just doing something on the side, he made some great stuff and left a hole that hasn't been filled. Hope things are going better for him. I wish him the best and think him for what he did do...
Things took a real bad turn for him and I suspect given recent events is taking time to grieve and sort things out. The guy is as good as gold and has had to shoulder more than anyone should have too. Hopefully things will move back to center for him.
I'd noticed that for some time on his website. I guess we all just give him space and hope that one day he might choose to start again. I'd love some of the electrical tower/ pylon kits but am not sure of anyone who might have old stock.
Yeah, I agree with Hoghead2, in his time of grieving, we need to give him plenty of space. Our wants are insignificant compared to his "needs". I too, hope that he will get back into this. As I sure could use a few S-40-8 SP stock cars. Perhaps someday that will happen. Thoughts and prayers to Bob and his family, Wolf
I agree with all of you...Bob's been through more than I can fathom. I hope he is doing well as possible. I too am looking for two ramps(#1500305) and two or three of those Awesome car carriers (#1500301). Does anybody have one they can part ways with for some extra moolah? Sincerely Pray You Are Well Bob!! Chuck
It's been forever that I have been on here to look around. I am looking for some of his electrical transmission towers if anyone has a lead on any or a contact to get ahold of him as the website email does not work any more. http://www.traincat2.com/d_tower.htm
