Well we are about ready for another weekend. Are you ready? For me this will be the first weekend I have not been in a hotel room in over a month!

Saturday: The goal a while ago was to have all my customers custom paint projects out of the shop by now so I could slowly pack for the move back east. Well the U.S. Post Office had other ideas. The D&RGW GP30 I had detailed and painted was damaged severely in transport so it was sent back for repair. By repair, I mean a trip to the strip tank and replace missing detail parts. After some time this week, the unit is again ready for primer and paint and that is the goal for tomorrow. I also need to go to my not so local train shop and pick up a LED for my new BN NW2. Since my fellow modeler and I are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Galesburg RR Days, we are running the Galesburg City Job in 1977 so my BN switcher needs a strobe.

Sunday: Is Fathers Day, but as far as I know, nothing is planned. I plan to install my Detail Associates beacon and LED into the Kato NW2 and get it on the programming track so its ready for next weekend at Galesburg RR Days. Wow, where did the time go? I also need to work with my partner on generating a switchlist for next weekend. Hmm, that means I got to run my layout. Oh the pain! I'm looking forward to some down time running my layout. I have one small project I would like to get done for next weekend but not sure if I can get done in time. I guess we'll see.

So how about you? What is on your list for this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 19th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and...

    Happy Fathers Day

    High Greens!

An Early Happy Father's Day to all.

@Jim Wiggin - I'd be interested in some pictures of your beacon set-up. There are a couple of locomotive projects in my future that might requires such a solution.

In keeping with the Bachman NW2 theme, I recently purchased one from Trainworld that is a candidate chassis and decoder for a swap to an early ConCor "SW1500" that I painted years ago in the grey and orange ICG scheme. Not completely sure it will fit, but at the price I paid if I can make it work I'll be satisfied - and have another 4 axle DCC switcher.

I'm going to work some more on a couple of sand towers for my diesel service platform. And, perhaps get to work on adding roads to my engine service facility.

Hope ya'll have an outstanding and fun filled father's day weekend!

Not much. We're on vacation in Maine, up in "Bangor and Aroostook" territory. Back at it next weekend.

No plans. In walking zombie mode after a helluva crazy week. May find time tomorrow, maybe.

Will do, it should be simple but I already destroyed one LED. More to come.
