Question Where?

Great video!
Where is the decoder? In the tender? Did you make the installation yourself? Does the sound come from the decoder or someplace else?

Exclamation

Oh my. That was outstanding. Was that just the camera microphone picking up the sound? No enhancements?

I'm impressed and envious. Very nice work. If you have some free time, I'm sure a few of us would LOVE to have you work on our locomotives........

Talking

Thanks to all, I am happy to like to you

I try to respond your questions...

Yes, I make the instalation, the decoder is in Tender, its an SL74 from CT Electronik, specialy make for N and TT.

I must make and special enclosure for the speaker, to fit exactly on tender, I use evergreen plastic to set it to 2mm+speaker the space into the top of the tender.

The sound are directly from my DV camera on table over two magazines to incline it, you can ear in stereo sound how it pass and go away...

If you speak Spanish you can read the large description of the tricks on my spanish forum www.escala-z.com
direct link:
www.escala-z.com/control-digital-f8/br10-con-decodificador-dcc-y-sonido-t19.htm

I put to you some images of the work (in forum are more):

Thanks to all

Hi Jose,

Very nice and great job.
I also used the SL74 in my DRG Ghost-waggon, and must also adapt the loudspeaker-housing.

Excellent work Armand! Yes, that decoder sounds excellent. Is the LS74 a Tran CT decoder?

Yes Rob, it's from Mr. Tran of CT-Electronik in Austria.
The speaker problem, he wanted aready to resolve longer
time, but I think for the moment he has still no ready version
for Z Scale, so always we must make our own, like Jose did.

Could it be time to make some soft pressure on him ?

Also, he has the railway station sound announcement just in
german, it would also be time to convince him about some
english words, no ?

The decoder is the smallest and the best on the market in Europe
ESU, like you know, I used also already, but bigger and before all
the 100 Ohm loudspeaker is a problem, no replacement to find.

And the modified rectangular (Philips) speakers are much louder
if they have a resonance box. I used 1mm room for the smallest,
perhaps Jose can tell what size he used.
Greetings

Armand
