Here's an eBay tip: Did you know that when you search eBay (or make a purchase there and the search started here) that you are helping TrainBoard greatly? The traffic that we drive to eBay helps us pay our bills. Is there a model railroad product you are looking for? Type a road number or item description in the eBay search box and hit "Go." You may find what you're looking for and help TrainBoard at the same time!

Exclamation Help for users who can't stay logged in

PROBLEM:

User logs in, and then shows as logged out on subsequent screen(s).

CAUSE:

User's computer is dropping the cookie.

EXPLANATION:

A cookie is a small file that many web sites set on your computer. TrainBoard sets a cookie for the sole purpose of helping you navigate the site and to identify you as a logged in user.

We do not use cookies to collect any information about you or from your computer.

When you log in and are quickly logged out, your computer is killing the cookie.

Nothing is wrong with the site and you do not need to re-register with a new username.

The "problem" is always on the user's end.

SOLUTION:

Check the following:
  • Anti-virus software
  • Anti-spyware software
  • Browser security settings
Anything that allows you to give a site permission(s) should be set at the lowest security level for TrainBoard.com.

Alternately, try another computer (if available).

We will help you work through these problems but an understanding of the cause is important.
