I've got the same problems with 10.4.6 (Tiger) on a big G5. It's not just here, but all over the place. Developers are really slow this time around--burned too many times?

Lightning struck nearby a week ago, and the EMP pulse blew out my wife's G4 built-in Ethernet. Any drivers for 10.4.6 for an Ethernet card? Not unless I want to get into UNIX at the device level, and I really don't. I did a workaround using spare iMac as a communications server, hooked to the G4 via Firewire. Best scheme I could figure out.

Sorry for getting back here so late, but it sounds like you've figured it out. I'm not really a computer pro at all and I did it with trial and error(s).
