If you have high speed, it should not take that long. Download them all first then do the rest.

    Mike,

Contact me personally when you return. We need to figure out what your issue really is.

    There's always a workaround.

    Soupac,

I've got the same problems with 10.4.6 (Tiger) on a big G5. It's not just here, but all over the place. Developers are really slow this time around--burned too many times?

Lightning struck nearby a week ago, and the EMP pulse blew out my wife's G4 built-in Ethernet. Any drivers for 10.4.6 for an Ethernet card? Not unless I want to get into UNIX at the device level, and I really don't. I did a workaround using spare iMac as a communications server, hooked to the G4 via Firewire. Best scheme I could figure out.

Sorry for getting back here so late, but it sounds like you've figured it out. I'm not really a computer pro at all and I did it with trial and error(s).
