My home made FTs that I had finished about six months prior to MT and IM both announcing that they were going to make them in N scale. Only the A unit is powered.

Good stuff everyone, as usual. Here's my Rio Grande Challenger with a westbound freight crossing the Deer Creek Viaduct partway up Yuba Pass. The loco is an old Westside brass import and can haul anything you want to put behind it, even on this 2.2% grade. Even with a 36" radius on the bridge, the overhang is something else, LOL!

We have a member that models D&RGW down at our club. Majority of his engines are older brass large steamers. Whenever we do track work, we always have him bring down equipment for the exact reason you mentioned. If the brass steamers make it through, anything will. We did have one case with a large 4-8-4 that make its own extension to a plaster tunnel portal when the cylinders swung out on a 42" radius curve.Modeling Santa Fe circa the mid 50's on the La Junta Sub. and the C&S up clear creek circa 1900/1935
