ok so I have been looking around for a while, with little luck, I am trying to figure out what equipment I should be using for my up and coming "Prarie line." I will be modeling around 1943 though 1953. that freight, passenger, and locomotives should I be running? I know I can have GP7, GP9, F3, F7, RS1, RS3, VO1000, NW2, SW900, and late steam. any locomotives I missed? Especally any oddballs? and as for freight and passenger equipment I have no idea.
any sugestions?

If you can go to the library, or even buy 'em, Warren Wing's book's are all around the Puget Sound area with nothing but great pic's of the 50's, to the early 70's! Lot's of local passenger trains, and freight too.

Oh, and also I have all of Jim Frederickson's books too. He was a telagrapher for the NP at way to many stations I can remember.:teeth: Also, pick up the latest Northern Pacific Historical Society magazine/newsletter. The NPRHA convention is in Tacoma this year, so the magazine is mostly around Western Washington with some good pic's too.

July 15th thru the 19th. The NPRHA website has all the info. Should be a good one!

Some 40' Radial Roof boxcars, Bay Window Cabooses, and 24' Shorty's will really help tell people it's NP no less! :D
If you can get a couple of those GHQ Kato Mike to W3 conversions, those shorty doghouse tenders scream NP too!

A lot of 40 foot box cars. Log cars?
How about the FT diesel? SW9?
A question on the diesels- Weren't the RS1 and RS3 back east during that time frame?
