72 hour Modelling Challenge "Blue" ending 14th April 2008

1. All challenges close at 12 midnight (24:00 hours) Eastern Standard Time on Monday 14th April 2008, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread.
2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past.
3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!!
4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged.
5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully.
6. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will be deleted.
7. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between the 12th April and 14th April 2008.
8. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct.

I look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all modellers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past.

This is a kitbash I did to create a Maxi I I saw in Long Beach one day. It was one of the Maersk models that had since been patched out and repainted. I think SP got a few and Santa Fe/BNSF got several. I started with a Deluxe Twinstack, hacked off the buttresses and then tried to match the overall grungy look, as well as the iffy patch jobs that still had the old logos in the faded background. I still need to decal the road numbers. (I'd post the prototype pic, but I believe only one picture is allowed.)
