Hmmm... A week in Cheyenne, a new camera, the hotel is right next to MP 511 on the grade to Sherman Hill, and a Moffat Route trip is in store... I should be able to shoot something blue!;)

Thanks! I've seen old BN green on trains out here, and some red and silver superfleet stuff... just happened that last night that set of yellow and blue went by. Couldn't have happened at a better time either. :D

Here's my submission - BEER RUN!
NSFan14 and Old Reliable have just taken photos of the engines on NS train #111 rolling through Buechel, Ky. when several carloads of Coors Beer pass by.
Hey, they both are wearing blue aren't they?

Doug A.
April 6th, 2008, 08:17 PM
You'd get more style points if it the beer was Pabst Blue Ribbon! But, Coors does make "Blue Moon" so maybe you should try that angle.

Agreed, that's a cool shot Campp. That idea crossed my mind but the pair of blue covered hoppers just seemed like a sign. ;-) You definitely did it justice.

I never thought I would have so much trouble coming up with something blue... After many enjoyable hours trackside with Mikado and nsfan14, I came up with nothing I thought was very blue, so I hit up the old Jeff yard and found some Long Island Railroad coaches. The sun has very nearly turned them gray, the rain nearly brown.

By the way, these guys can make you a heck of a deal on a late model used forklift, Astro van, or railway coach!

Here’s mine from the IC/CN yard Effingham IL, GT 4928 and CN 9454

One of the train crewmen there offered to sell the GT to me for a penny a pound, but my wife said H*** NO, with that, your going to die look.

I spent the weekend in Glenwood Springs, CO and the only blue that I captured was the Red, White, & Blue speeding across a Grande bridge.

Saw a coal drag going through the backyard this afternoon with a new CSXT ES44AH and thought, hey - blue CSX engines, blue sky - so here's what I got:
