TrainBoard has two threads on modeling the American Freedom Train. Johnny Ripp models the AFT in H0 scale (http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=83216) and OC Engineer JD models the AFT in N scale (http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=96833). Both of these threads are very long and have a lot of pictures, but if you look at the AFT, you will see that there are many differences between it and a normal passenger train. These threads cover a lot of different aspects of detailing, modeling, and modification of the trains. They are both excellent threads and well worth your time just to learn about the 1975 - 1976 Freedom Train. Wonder why both of these threads appeared on TrainBoard about the same time?
