Tompm has a great technique for weathering TOFC flat car decks. (http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=96116) Thanks to him for posting it on TrainBoard. It appears to me it could be used for any flat car. This technique uses artist acrylics, but there are several other freight car weathering threads in the How To Forum.
